Trio Weithaas – Vogt – Steckel
Violinist Antje Weithaas brings two well-known and friend musicians to the Kleine Zaal: pianist Lars Vogt and cellist Julian Steckel. ‘One of the greatest violinists of this generation’, Fono Forum wrote about Antje Weithaas. Her cd with works by Schubert was covered in star reviews. Today the Trio Weithaas – Vogt – Steckel play works by Schubert and Dvořák.

Schubert and Dvořák
‘Sensitive, full of energy and impulsive’, that’s how Schubert sounds from Antje Weithaas, accoding to the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Tonight Weithaas together with Lars Vogt and Julian Steckel play the Eerste pianotrio by Schubert, contemporaneous with his Winterreise. Lyrical and dancing, in de Ländler in the Third movement even yodelling.  Dvořák also arranged folk dances in his Pianotrio in f. Seriousness and jollity follow each other in this expressive trio.
