This year Govert Jan Bach and Joop van Zijl will be presenting their guide to the St John Passion in the weeks leading up to Easter.
The programme looks at the background, text, plot, characters and several of the predecessors to this lesser known cousin of the St Matthew Passion.
It features a recent performance of the St John Passion by the Dunedin Consort conducted by John Butt.
Portraits of the Soloists
Every Wednesday the programme will present a portrait of a famous soloist associated with the Passion such as Elly Ameling, Kathleen Ferrier and Max van Egmond.
