Episode 1156. Starting this week, we’re adopting a new approach. We’re letting go of the church calendar. We will follow the development of Bach’s cantatas chronologically, following in his footsteps, to arrive at the extensive commemoration of Bach’s 300 years of chorale cantatas in 2024. Because of Easter, we’re starting today with the cantata “Christ lag in Todesbanden” BWV 4.
