Adrian Rollini (New York 1903 – Florida 1956) was a musical prodigy who started as a jazz pianist but soon switched to bass saxophone. He gave that instrument a definitive place in twenties jazz. This first of six episodes is about Rollini’s initial years at the California Ramblers, a dance orchestra that gave a lot of room for jazz musicians in their ranks (part 1).
