A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century.
Every fortnight, ‘The Wayward Prokofiev’ devotes one hour to the life and work of Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.
Today: Romeo & Juliet Act 2. There’s much to listen to, but certainly just as much to say about this work. The same goes for Arnold Schoenberg’s violin concerto from 1936, written in the same year as Romeo and Juliet.
