In ‘Prokofiev: modernist on his own terms’, every fortnight an hour-long feature on the life and work of the Russian 20th century composer Sergei Prokofiev, who was undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.
In today’s programme: more of his most successful opera ‘Love of the three oranges’, a lesser-known work ‘Melodies without words’, and 1920s Russian compatriot Alexander Lokshin’s first work.
