Music for Leisure.
The Nederlands Studenten Kamerkoor (Dutch Student Chamber Choir) is touring again. We haven’t got any recordings of the concert series of this year yet, and therefore we would like to broadcast those of last year. The theme then was ‘Emotioneel abstract’ (Emotionally abstract). Emotion and abstraction seem to be two contradictory notions, but might there be a point where they touch one another? Is it possible to convey abstraction and is emotion always to be found in music?
Central thread is the minimalistic work ‘Mon doux pilote s’endort aussi’ of Karel Goeyvaerts.
