Music by 20th-century composers.
Kurt Atterberg (1887-1974)
Today in The Last Century we pay attention to Swedish composer Kurt Atterberg.
He was born in Göteborg in 1887, and he counts as one of the most important Swedish 20th-century composers.
Because of his traditional, late-romantic style, he was almost forgotten in the ’50s of the last century. After several CD releases of his symphonic works, there is a renewed appreciation for his beautiful melodies.
