Olivier Messiaen #2 The early 30s: diversification in his work, marriage, and his early performances.
Messiaen isn’t just hugely talented, but loves to study as well. He rakes in prize after prize. His first public performances: he replaces Charles Quef as organ player in the Église de la Sainte-Trinité and takes over in the Scika Cantorum in Paris. In 1932, he marries violin player and composer Claire Delbos. He’s in a good place!
