Dutch Jazz en more. Singer Ineke Vandoorn and guitarist Marc van Vugt delve into the contemporary Dutch jazz delta.
Because we are great lovers of stringed instruments, we are focusing on the strings in the Dutch jazz landscape this time. The cliché of strings, of course, is the obligatory sustained carpet of long notes to support beautiful melodies, played in a large orchestral setting. And although that can sometimes be pleasant, fortunately there is much more possible, and the strings in the Netherlands form an extremely adventurous group.
