This broadcast is dedicated to French 16th-century dance music.
The art of dancing was highly valued in the Renaissance. It was an integral part of every aristocrat’s education. No wonder many dance music books were printed, especially in France. We will listen to instrumental dances and songs based on dance rhythms during this hour.
