A whole hour dedicated to Brahms! Please enjoy his beautiful quintet for clarinet, op.115, as well as another late work: five movements of his Fantasies for piano, op.116.
Brahms composed these works during his holiday months in Bad Isch on the Traun river. Here, he enjoyed some joyful times in the final years of his life. He was inspired by Richard Mühlfeld’s clarinet playing, which lead him to write his famous Clarinet Quintet, two sonatas, and a trio, despite having previously vowed to stop composing. Additionally, he couldn’t help but write some piano music to keep his skills sharp: his Opus 116 pieces.
