Early Pink Floyd, part two. By the end of the first broadcast, it had become evident, that the behaviour of the band’s main composer, Syd Barrett, had gotten more and more out of hand and that he actually was unable to perform. In this broadcast, a temporary solution is found and the group’s new musical direction becomes clear. That Pink Floyd doesn’t just play loud, but also has its poetic sides, will also come forward in tonight’s broadcast. Through your speakers, a concert of 9 Augsut 1969 in Paradiso, Amsterdam, will find his way home, albeit with a detour. We obviously play parts of this concert.
