In the first broadcoast of this series around music from Limburg, you could listen to older music. Tonight in the second and last part of this series we will play more recent music and we will discover that there are happening a lot of exciting things in Limburg. The dialect of Limburg is used in almost every song, but it certainly does not affect the music in a bad way.
Jack Poels celebrated his fiftieth birthday with a tribute to Limburg and generously handed out the single. Together with Arno Adams, we find ourselves listening to music which comes straight from the heart but is everything but cheerful. Luckily, there is Bart Oostindie who laughs away the blues. Gé Reinders and Jack Vinders found the general public, each with their own style and interpretation. Ton Engels is besides a teacher, also a great enthusiast for on the one hand the more complex music and on the other hand the singer-songwriters. You can hear it all in his music. In the category ‘promising’, we meet Mo’Jones and Bert van den Bergh. The now well-known Jodymoon will conclude this programme.
