On the 121st episode of Organ Work, the fourth part of a series on the magnificent Arp Schnitger organ in Hamburg’s St. James’ Church. This time Wolfgang Zerer will perform music by Matthias Weckmann.
We will hear historical recordings of the organ from shortly after its restoration, plus recordings by Wolfgang Zerer from 1996 featuring works by Mattthias Weckmann, who was the organist at St. James’ Church for a lengthy period during the 17th century.
