In this episode, the highlights of 1913. The first World War is on the horizon, but this isn’t very notable at first. Although, Schoenberg continues his atonality in an asymmetrically evolving society, Russia’s first futuristic opera premiered, which didn’t go unnoticed, and Peru’s best-known opera came to the stage, while Fauré upheld the French honour with his second and last opera ‘Pénélope’.
