Interview with a Dutch jazz musician
Today’s guest is guitarist and composer Bram Stadhouders (1987). He studied electronic music in Utrecht and received his Master in composition in The Hague. He doesn’t differentiate between classical music and improvisation; in his work, both go together.
He has worked with many different musicians, like Onno Govaert, Harmen Fraanje, he has also worked long-term with the Dutch Kamerkoor and the Bulgarian choir Angelite. He was selected for, among others, BIMhuis Carte Blanche and the North Sea Jazz Composition. Bram has received several important projects from a young age, like the Dutch Young VIP tour, North Sea Jazz Composition project and the BIMhuis Carte Blanche. He has worked with several musicians for a long time, for example, the Polish saxophone player Grzech Piotrowski and the Norwegian ice percussionist Terje Isungset. He has released seven CDs.
