Breton rock and Celtic New Age.
Bodh’aktan
In this Metamorfoses, a meeting between two opposite musical genres. The Canadian Loreena McKennitt is loved because of her beautiful voice and Celtic-inspired repertory. The Alhambra in Granada was the impressive setting for a live performance which was released on CD and DVD in 2007. The Breton group Bodh’aktan has a less sweet-voiced reputation. Although their version of rock is inspired by traditional folk music, it is particularly loud and wild. We play a number of songs by them ‘in the break’ of McKennitt’s performance, just to regain our breath of her beautiful music.
