The Early Garden

The baroque spirit in all his musical shapes.

Worldly music from the France of the 16th century.

In this episode we particularly pay attention to the worldly French art of song, typical to the 16th century. Nature as a metaphor for our moods, love songs full of grief and melancholy and scabrous allusions. These texts remain current, because the accompanying feelings are of all times.
