This Saturday, on JazzNotJazz, once again a non-stop program (the last part of a trilogy) with a theme.
This time it is: With a Touch of Jazz! This can relate to all kinds of elements in popular music that show that touch. The solos, the swing, the arrangement, and not to forget, the atmosphere. So once again: ears open, but above all an open mind!
JazzNotJazz is a program where a unique mixtape is composed from 100 years of Jazz recordings, with meaningful and sometimes meaningless trivia. It’s also about The Soul of Jazz, so excursions to related styles will certainly be made. There are irregular recurring segments such as “The Unplayed Standard”, “Ellington Train Songs”, “Jazz Cameos”, and “More is Better”.
