Jazzdrummer Felix Schlarmann’s 47th program for Dutch online radio Concertzender Nederland focuses on various duo recordings from the last 25 years. After listening again to drummer Ted Poor’s great duo record with saxophonist Andrew D’Angelo the idea was born to dedicate this episode of JazzNotJazz to recordings made in a duo setting. Of course there are thousands, but here’s a varied selection of beautiful tracks, interesting collaborations and new sounds.
