Being the son of bass player John Clayton, American pianist Gerald Clayton got in touch with jazz music on a young age. Together with colleagues such as saxophone player Ben Wendel, drummer Justin Brown or trumpet players Ambrose Akinmusire and Christian Scott, he is part of the cohort of young jazz musicians who are very active these days not only in New York, but also in Los Angeles. The playlist shows the already impressive career of this still pretty young pianist.
