Ehlers (born 1974) is an German artist working in the field of electronic music – mainly digital manipulations of existing music. In addition to his solo career, he has recorded under the monikers Auch, Betrieb and Ferdinand Fehlers and as a member of the duo Autopoesies and his band März.
In his most recent works Ehlers has explored the minimalism of early twentieth century work of composers like Schoenberg and Ives which he processed and mutated in a modern way.
By the late 1990’s, Ehlers worked at the Mille Plateaux/Force Inc. office in Frankfurt, curating the Ritornell label series. He is also closely involved in de audio gallery at whiteness.de
