THAA (Andrew Anderson / Thor Harris)
Andrew has been working for the past 12 years using an intuitive process based in music theory and psychology to compose sonic Rorschach test sound collages via effect-laden field recordings, samples, and synths for self-release on cassette and digital formats. While Andrew does have personal themes and intent behind his work(s), he is more interested in creating an emotive sense of space for the listener to get lost in, versus than forcing his own narrative. Andrew is currently residing in Austin TX, surrounded by amazing cats.

Aged
Iowa-based Nate Holdren began making computer music – you could call it glitchy drone, or dark ambient – under the name Aged to get out from under the weight of memories of being in punk bands when young, long ago. Finally old enough to be disciplined, he decided this would not be yet another unfinished bedroom project, and set about combining computer-generated tones, reverbed field recordings, and paulstretched human voice in the attempt to make music that evokes how it feels to swallow regrets and restlessly creep up on middle age, tired but unable to sleep. Holdren calls it music for pacing alone.

Autistici
Autistici is a UK electronic music composer who is based in Sheffield (UK). Autistici’s work incorporates a wide range of sources including textural sound design, orchestration, space and fragments of found sound or field recordings. Tracks focus on representing details from both the natural and manmade world. Each detail has the potential to be preserved or lost, clarified or confused. This means that any audio element, including elements from his own body become incorporated into the composition.
Track: “Stars Under Snow – For every pain a neurone fires (Autistici & Neuro… No Neuro remix)

Darren McClure
Darren McClure is from Northern Ireland, now living in Matsumoto, Japan. His audio work focuses on texture, space and atmosphere. Sound sources are both analogue and digital, hardware and software, incorporating found sounds and field recordings to lend an organic, tactile quality to the material. His main intent is to create music to zone out to and zone into, a balance of widescreen drones and more minimal, abstract ambience. He has released solo and collaborative work on a number of labels, including Dragons Eye, Glistening Examples and n5MD. His music has also been used in conjunction with video artwork and documentary shorts.

Wil Bolton
Wil Bolton’s work uses guitars, acoustic instruments, vintage keyboards and effects to create warm and emotive melodies, fragmented and submerged among beds of droning ambient textures and environmental sounds.

Neurogami
Neurogami was founded by James Britt in 2001 for Web and interactive multimedia technology development. The word “neurogami” itself was invented by James Britt; the combined imagery of “neuro” (as in neurology and neuroscience) and “gami” (as in origami) was intended to create mental picture. Neurogami operates at the intersection of art and technology.

xas abra
Fairly little is known of the artist xas abra, outside of an ambiguous note: “A cold and clear sharp sense overflows from a gap of a finger and is transformed into blue existence”.

Distant Fires Burning
Gert’s musical outlet always represented a very diverse palette of musical genres. He started out as a bass-player for rock, thrash, funk and pop bands. In 2007 Gert started to experiment with ambient and it became clear that Distant Fires Burning was the vehicle for a very personal expression and one in which the bass guitar re-entered as the primary source. Distant Fires Burning is Gert’s expression through bass – enhanced and manipulated to create a very unique and personal sound.

mg&mw
Revisited is the latest album in an ongoing collaboration between Mitt Gamon and Martin Walker, featuring live performance and intricate electronic production. It’s a re-imagining of selected tracks across three previous albums, featuring guest musicians. Some tracks have been rejuvenated with new performances; others have been radically re-imagined from the ground up, with different instrumentation and tempos.
