Aged.
Iowa-based Nate Holdren began making computer music – you could call it glitchy drone, or dark ambient – under the name Aged to get out from under the weight of memories of being in punk bands when young, long ago. Finally old enough to be disciplined, he decided this would not be yet another unfinished bedroom project, and set about combining computer-generated tones, reverbed field recordings, and paulstretched human voice in the attempt to make music that evokes how it feels to swallow regrets and restlessly creep up on middle age, tired but unable to sleep. Holdren calls it music for pacing alone.
Andrew Anderson.
Andrew has been working for the past 12 years using an intuitive process based in music theory and psychology to compose sonic Rorschach test sound collages via effect-laden field recordings, samples, and synths for self-release on cassette and digital formats. While Andrew does have personal themes and intent behind his work(s), he is more interested in creating an emotive sense of space for the listener to get lost in, versus than forcing his own narrative. Andrew is currently residing in Austin TX, surrounded by amazing cats.
RA.
Through the principles of arithmetic, RA explores the transcendence of pattern as sound. Along the listener’s journey, he reveals safe-passage into the post-singular future. And in approach, he questions the listener’s comprehension of music, guiding them with expression, past the uncanny valley into the verdurous fields beyond.
Technoise & TORQMDA.
The third release of SPACE TRAC presents material from Louis Marlon van den Brink and Radboud Mens (Staalplaat). Heavy industrial soundscapes made with a no-input mixer. ‘Just purely ‘auto-generated’, though never ‘ex nihilo’, by allowing Providence Herself to reveil the ‘Vera Ikon’, i.e. ‘True Image’, the ‘Shape’, raw form of ‘things’,’de rerum naturae’, ‘Idea’, during the ‘random’ man made manipulation, thus ‘manumission’ of the no-input-mixer’s own electronic circuit feedback, deep, hard, dark cosmic, intense, and it really does not ‘matter’ whether this regards Nature’s pulsar star destruction or Her deepest heart beat creation inside Her womb, Matrix, of the ‘Teknon’, i.e. ‘Child, the very Miracle of Creation itself’ for the ancient Greeks, n?t ‘techno’, or God knows, perchance this may just as well be His Real and most atavistic, primordial Tekno still-going on ever since the very Dawn of the Universe?
xas abra.
Fairly little is known of the artist xas abra, outside of an ambiguous note: “A cold and clear sharp sense overflows from a gap of a finger and is transformed into blue existence”.

Evan Anderson.
Having honed his distinct brand of guitar work performing with prominent experimental rock bands in the Pacific Northwest (Heavy Petting, Merso), Evan Anderson’s latest musical output centers around instrumental compositions for the solo guitar. Anderson’s work is deeply conversational, exhibiting an organic and intuitive compositional style that simultaneously invokes the narrative dynamism of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the grace and fluidity of John Fahey.

Distant Fires Burning.
Gert’s musical outlet always represented a very diverse palette of musical genres. He started out as a bass-player for rock, thrash, funk and pop bands. In 2007 Gert started to experiment with ambient and it became clear that Distant Fires Burning was the vehicle for a very personal expression and one in which the bass guitar re-entered as the primary source. Distant Fires Burning is Gert’s expression through bass – enhanced and manipulated to create a very unique and personal sound.

Michael Peters & Fabio Anile.
Michael Peters (Germany) played guitar in punk bands, ambient projects, avant-garde jazz/rock bands, and open improvisational groups. His guitar is usually extended by electronics, software, and live looping techniques, sometimes using the classical “Frippertronics” method based on tape delay. His solo ambient/experimental guitar music usually relies on improvisation and often involves sound collages and field recordings.
Petridisch.
Thor Maillet is the sole member of Petridisch, an electronic music project out of Boston, MA, USA. Equally influenced by the work of Philip Glass and Mylene Farmer, Petridisch’s music explores the greyer areas of the psyche with inevitable elements of light and humor. Although they are most known for their use of Vocaloid within their work, Petridisch also has a fondness for Farfisas, Vermonas and reverb units. The end result is a hazy, yet somehow also crystal clear, image of both the past and the future. Check out more at http://petridisch.bandcamp.com and/or http://iheartnoise.bandcamp.com
