Distant Fires Burning.
Gert’s musical outlet always represented a very diverse palette of musical genres. He started out as a bass-player for rock, thrash, funk and pop bands. In 2007 Gert started to experiment with ambient and it became clear that Distant Fires Burning was the vehicle for a very personal expression and one in which the bass guitar re-entered as the primary source. Distant Fires Burning is Gert’s expression through bass – enhanced and manipulated to create a very unique and personal sound.

Petridisch.
Thor Maillet is the sole member of Petridisch, an electronic music project out of Boston, MA, USA. Equally influenced by the work of Philip Glass and Mylene Farmer, Petridisch’s music explores the greyer areas of the psyche with inevitable elements of light and humor. Although they are most known for their use of Vocaloid within their work, Petridisch also has a fondness for Farfisas, Vermonas and reverb units. The end result is a hazy, yet somehow also crystal clear, image of both the past and the future. Check out more at http://petridisch.bandcamp.com and/or http://iheartnoise.bandcamp.com

Burial Grid.
Burial Grid (Northampton, MA-based producer Adam Michael Kozak), initially began with no mission statement, aside from acting as an antidote to the rigors of touring in past bands. Gradually rules and creative parameters were applied: explore his love of 70s and 80s synthesized horror film scores; no vocals allowed; be inspired by what terrifies you to your most primal core. Taking inspiration from out-of-body experiences, films such as Jacob’s Ladder, Enter the Void, and Poltergeist, the use of psychedelics, the book Words on the Threshold, research into brain death, and observing those in their time of dying, Burial Grid’s latest offering, My Body Dissolves as I Watch and Dissolve is a cinematic, emotionally complex dissertation on what our brains and bodies may experience during the process by which we break down. Complex, almost neo-prog arrangements, and 80s-inspired synth-scapes alternately embrace the listener with comforting warmth and attack with gut-unraveling menace of a rattling medical diagnosis.

Elizabeth Joan Kelly.
Elizabeth Joan Kelly is a New Orleans-based electronic composer. She uses found sounds and MIDI to create lush soundscapes at the epicenter of synthpop, industrial, ambient, darkwave, and classical music. Born and raised in the swamps of Slidell, Louisiana, and with formal training in composition from Loyola University New Orleans and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Kelly is as equally comfortable composing for symphonies as she is with electronic dance music. She is the recipient of awards from the Independent Music Awards, Ohio Federation of Music Clubs, the National Federation of Music Clubs, Singing City, and the American Composer’s Forum with Vocal Essence. Her concert music has been performed by the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, Glass City Singers, Louisiana Composer’s Forum, and members of So Percussion, and her electronic work has been programmed by Vox Novus, The Dark Outside, and the Dundalk Institute of Technology, to name a few.

Darren McClure.
Darren McClure is from Northern Ireland, now living in Matsumoto, Japan. His audio work focuses on texture, space and atmosphere. Sound sources are both analogue and digital, hardware and software, incorporating found sounds and field recordings to lend an organic, tactile quality to the material. His main intent is to create music to zone out to and zone into, a balance of widescreen drones and more minimal, abstract ambience. He has released solo and collaborative work on a number of labels, including Dragons Eye, Glistening Examples and n5MD. His music has also been used in conjunction with video artwork and documentary shorts.

Michael Peters & Fabio Anile.
Michael Peters (Germany) played guitar in punk bands, ambient projects, avant-garde jazz/rock bands, and open improvisational groups. His guitar is usually extended by electronics, software, and live looping techniques, sometimes using the classical “Frippertronics” method based on tape delay. His solo ambient/experimental guitar music usually relies on improvisation and often involves sound collages and field recordings.
Fabio Anile (Italy) is a classically trained pianist and composer. Over the years, he has developed his own unique approach to combining electronic tools and live playing. He defines his music as a “a work on the theme of time”. In this regard, there is a continuum between his ambient and his polymetric minimalist pieces. Fabio has worked with many ensembles and artists. He has created audio-video installations and film soundtracks. As a soloist, he performed at many international festivals both in Europe and in the USA.

Autistici.
Autistici is a UK electronic music composer who is based in Sheffield (UK). Autistici’s work incorporates a wide range of sources including textural sound design, orchestration, space and fragments of found sound or field recordings. Tracks focus on representing details from both the natural and manmade world. Each detail has the potential to be preserved or lost, clarified or confused. This means that any audio element, including elements from his own body become incorporated into the composition.
