Pentangle is one of the leading British folk groups of the last decades. Founded in 1967, the untitled debut album of this fivesome, was released five years later. They have a completely unique sound, with a blend of jazz, folk and medieval music. At the centre of this group, was the sublime guitar duo of Jihn Renbourn and Bert Jansch. Jazz singer Jacqui McShee literally became the voice of the group. The rhythm section was also comprised of two musicians that started out playing jazz music, Danny Thomspon and Terry Cox. For this Disc-Cover, we could have chosen to play the debut album with its innovative sounds, or maybe there most accomplished album Basket of Light. We have however decided to present the second and double-sided album, Sweet Child. The album is revolutionary, and not just musically. The ins and ours are revealed on this edition of Disc-Cover.
