Five candidates were selected for the Gaudeamus Music prize 2014: Anna Korsun from Ukraine, the Russian Marina Poleukhina, the Japanese Hikari Kiyamei, the German Benjamin Scheuer and the Mexican Francisco Castillo Triguerez. We discussed three of them last month, and now the other two. In the second part of this programme, another four composers – they too, delivered brand new work, but were not in competition for the prize.
