LESTER YOUNG MEETS NAT KING COLE
After he left Count Basie’s band, Lester Young worked with a group of his own, of which his brother Lee was also part as a drummer. During his stay on the West Coast, he joined pianist Nat King Cole under the small Aladdin label and they became a quartet. They recorded relatively long pieces.
