Ars Acustica’s monthly platform. In this very first Café Sonore of 2017, a sneak peak at Tuesday 17 January, because than the time has come for the annual Art’s Birthday Party, the radio party for all public radio stations. Café Sonore will be part of this again, just like last year, with an acoustic gift in the form of a special composition by Bianca Holst. For Art’s Birthday 2017, she composed a special piece, Climate of Pi and will perform this live at the Concertzender studio in Utrecht on 17 January. As a taster, you will hear some of her work in the broadcast tonight. You can also listen to the piece for Art’s Birthday from last year, the Sponge Suite by Henri Vega. There is also plenty of time for unadultared contemporary music. This time, it all comes from Musicworks, the unappraised Canadian contemporary music magazine.
