Monthly platform for the Ars Acustica. Varying from experimental impro to acousmatics, from sound and radio art to composed contemporary music. With frequent attention for festivals and home recordings. The very first episode of the new year is traditionally a Tabula Rasa, a clean slate. What will this year bring us musically? Will they continue building on established traditions? Will we hear completely new sounds? Will pop culture completely take over and will the less accessible contemporary music have harder times than hitherto or will we get a revival of deepening?
It’s anybody’s guess! Meanwhile this Café Sonore draws attentions to a couple of trends including pure ADHD jazz by Cnirbs; current ambient by Biosphere; Radiofonics of the past and the pride of Holland with Banabilla and Van Geel.
