Monthly platform for the Ars Acustica. Varying from experimental impro to acousmatics, from sound and radio art to composed contemporary music. With frequent attention for festivals and home recordings. From 10 to 12 June this year the annual Ars Acustica meeting took place, this time in Galway, Ireland.
For some years now, the Ars Acustica Group initiates a composition competition for radio art and electroacoustic music – the Palma Ars Acustica. This year there were 21 entries from just as many countries. From this, six nominees were selected.
This year’s winner was Anna Raimondo with her radio play “Me, My English and all the languages of My Life”. In this and next month’s broadcast, Cafe Sonore focuses on this special competition. You will hear a selection of all entries
