A podcast about Bach, episode 41. After a long break, a new episode of Bach & Co, in which we highlight the performance of the Matthäus Passion in Lochem.
Bach Lochem, as the Bach society is called, has been organising a Matthäus and, nowadays, an annual Weihnachtsoratorium for almost 40 years. The setting is ‘de Grote’ or Sint-Gudulakerk, in the heart of the town Lochem, in the Achterhoek region.
The performance of the Matthäus Passion is part of the Bach Weeks Lochem and takes place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the atmospheric Sint-Gudulakerk.
We travelled to Lochem, where Karin van den Boogaert had a conversation with the chairman of the Bach Lochem Foundation: Frederike Upmeijer.
