Today’s programme is about drummer, vocalist and orchestra lead Ray McKinley (1910-1995). McKinley played in local bands with Savage Cummings and Larry Duncan in the Fort Worth/Dallas region, before he joined Smith Ballew in 1929, where he met Glenn Miller who became a friend for life.
