In De Wandeling we’re covering a composer by the name of Franck, but not the Belgian Cesar, but the German Eduard Franck. Born 1817, died 1893. Pupil of Mendelssohn. Outstanding pianist, whose oeuvre has remained in total obscurity. This was partly his own fault, as his quest for perfection led him to constantly postpone publication.
