In deze podcastserie spreekt Annette den Heijer met (oud)laureaten van Het Kersjes Fonds over hun muziekleven.
Welk pad hebben zij bewandeld sinds zij de prijs of beurs kregen, waar halen zij hun inspiratie vandaan, hoe ziet een werkdag eruit en hoe gaan ze om met de uitdagingen van het steeds grimmiger culturele klimaat..?
De serie wordt wordt geopend door Diamanda La Berge Dramm; zij ontving de Vioolbeurs van Het Kersjes Fonds in 2015.
Als directeur van Het Kersjes Fonds scout en begeleidt Annette den Heijer jonge musici.
Zij is opgeleid als fluitist en speelt traverso in onder meer Concerto d’ Amsterdam.
Als radiomaker verzorgde zij diverse programma’s voor VPRO’s De Avonden, waaronder het programma ‘Muziek onder woorden’: hierin werden interviews met musici, regisseurs en acteurs gecombineerd met muziek.

Diamanda La Berge Dramm (1991) grew up in Amsterdam, the Netherlands playing the violin since the age of four. Growing up among the leading figures of the Dutch classical, avant-garde and improvisation scene, her own concerts reflect all of these elements. In April 2018 Diamanda won the Dutch Classical Talent Tour & Award, the first ever string soloist to do so.
She has worked extensively with modern music luminaries such as Christian Wolff, Alvin Lucier, Gunther Schuller, Chaya Czernowin, George Benjamin, and Georg Friedrich Haas. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the New England Conservatory in Boston with James Buswell and Nicholas Kitchen. At graduation, she was awarded the John Cage Award for her contribution to new music. Diamanda received her Masters of Music from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, studying with Vera Beths. In 2015 she was awarded with the Violin Prize of Het Kersjes Fonds.
In 2018 she released the Violin Spaces series together with Garth Knox (published by Schott), a brand new set of concerts etudes focusing on extended techniques. Diamanda produced detailed instructional video’s, and toured a show based around the Spaces. She continues to teach them internationally in masterclasses. Her longtime collaboration with UK poet SJ Fowler resulted in the EP Beastings in 2019. A follow up album is expected in 2021. Diamanda resides in Utrecht. She plays on an Andreas Grütter bow (2015), and an Andranik Gaybaryan violin (2014), purchased with the generous support of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and the Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrumentenfonds.
