On Wednesday 6 March 21:00 CET we are broadcasting the first part of An ox on the roof, a new series by Thea Derks (which is repeated on Thursday 7 March 17.00 CET). After 50 episodes of her previous series Panorama de Leeuw it was time for a new challenge and her subject changes from a lion to an ox.
In September 2018 Derks published het latest book Een os op het dak: moderne muziek na 1900 in vogelvlucht. The book is an introduction to contemporary music written in a way that is easy to understand by non-specialists. The first copy was presented to the British-Dutch composer Richard Ayres in Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam.
