The final episode in this series to be broadcast at the Concertzender, for now. Episode 6 of 6 about the Prone to Resonance Field Recording Project: a project that captures and conserves everyday sounds, and turns it into sonic collage’s and other types of music. The six broadcasts put together showcase the sound of 2023.
Contrary to previous episodes, this one mainly focuses on music created from the field recordings. With the four largest cities of the Netherlands (Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam) as a sound source, we hear two imaginary cityscapes saturated with (and seperated by) several urban field recordings taken in november in december. We end the year with fireworks reverberating through the streets of Rotterdam.
Prone to Resonance will continue online and is expected to return to the Concertzender shortly after summer witht the sound of 2024.
