This episode of ‘Theme’ focuses on composer, singer-songwriter, poet, teacher, interviewer and podcast maker Samuel Andreyev (pictured above).
Samuel Andreyev was born in Ontario, Canada in 1981. When he was five years old he started getting violin lessons. He studies cello, oboe and composing at the Conservatoire royal de musique in Toronto. From 2003 until 2005 he studies composing under Allain Gaussin at the conservatory of Savran in France, and then from 2006 under Frédéric Durieux at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. Nowadays, he teaches at the Strasbourg Center at the University of Syracuse and the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg.
