Jean Barraqué
Jean Barraqué, while studying in Olivier Messiaen’s analysis class, received guest lectures from Pierre Boulez, who had also studied under Messiaen. The three of them transformed the landscape of French modern music, although Barraqué never achieved the same level of fame as his two compatriots – unfairly so.
