Jean Barraqué
Partially because of his untimely death at age 47 and his very small repertoire, French composer Jean Barraqué (pictured above), Messiaen’s, never got the recognition he deserved. But he definitely was influential. British composer Bill Hopkins, who studied with Barraqué, was completely obsessed with his works.
