The Early Music department is celebrating Christmas! The programmes on 7, 14 and 21 December all feature Christmas music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque.
The Early Garden on Thursday 7 December at 20.00 CET is full of European Christmas music, with works from England, Austria, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
This is followed at 21.00 CET by Documento. The programme is titled ‘Puer Natus est nobis‘, unto us a child is born, and includes a Christmas mass by Thomas Tallis and a Christmas cantata by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel.
At 22.00 CET it is time for Missa etcetera, with more European Christmas music from the Renaissance and Baroque, this time from Spain and Portugal.
Nuove Musiche on 14 and 21 December at 19.00 CET reviews new CDs with Christmas music from the Renaissance and Baroque.
Early Delights and Documento on 21 December will also be in the sprirt of Christmas.
