You may have noticed: on March 2nd, 2023, saxophonist Wayne Shorter passed away at the age of 89. Shorter became known as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, the second Miles Davis Quintet, and the fusion band Weather Report. Tonight, we will focus on the live sound of Wayne Shorter.
