Felicity Mangan.
The latest release by Australian, Berlin-based artist Felicity Mangan collects a series of works created during 2020 and 2021 and reveals the artist’s fascination with all things water and other related phenomena. Featuring a wide scope of works – a recording of a performance utilising biorhythms and timbres collected from river banks sits next to a monophonic installation piece inspired by both amphibians and amphitheaters or recordings of a human-frog conversation – ‘Wet On Wet’ is fascinating both in concept and sonics, continuing to expand on Mangan’s previous interest in biophonic patterns, quasi-bioacoustics and aural illusions.

Autumn Fair
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Recital presents Autumn Fair.
A group LP comprised of 44 guest players, curated and edited together by Sean McCann.
Autumn Fair aptly embodies the feeling of Recital as a record label; the infusion of abstract sound art and sentimental beauty – performed by both younger and older generations of artists.

Ekin Fil.
ekin fil is the acclaimed drone-pop chanteuse working with the sparest of materials in her ethereal, shoegaze deconstructions. her sound developed out of a healthy obsession with cranes, cocteau twins, slowdive and many other bands that she discovered in the tattered back issues of nme and the home-dubbed tapes that were passed around when she was growing up in turkey.

Bill Nace.
Using the looped-and-screwed methodology of Both, Nace takes a seismic step, building the process into a larger compositional process, employing guitar plus tapes, hurdy gurdy, doughnut pipe, quelle est belle and the nu Nace ax of choice, taishōgoto. Phrases talk to and obliterate each other, expanding and emerging into brave new unheard vistas.

Andrea Ermke & Anaïs Tuerlinckx.
Andrea Ermke and Anais Tuerlinckx have been playing as a duo since 2012.
The use of found objects was and continues to be a central starting point for both of their musical approaches.
The duo developed this radiophonic improvisation for a special edition of the program “Entartet” broadcast live from the Stadthaus Ulm by Radio Free FM in September 2022.

Babak Ahteshamipour.
Mind Flaying Flavored Flails is the second album by Babak Ahteshamipour. It is a departure from his previous album Specter, Spectrum, Speculum, steering the wheel towards a more abstract and dissonant direction. It is occupied with sampled guitars, pianos and field recordings, crushed into granulated bits that serve as a spicy tortilla filling, with electronics and synthesizers dueling over the last bite, reinforcing a sense of a tectonic collision of cordial restlessness and soothing hypnotic states, reassuring an accompanying spot for a breezing cocktail along the spices.

Marc Richter.
Shapeshifting producer and sound artist Marc Richter has established himself as one of the most inventive and ambitious voices in contemporary music. Richter’s mastery of sonic manipulation is matched only by his astounding clarity of vision. Working heavily with sampling and electronic processing, each of his phantasmagoric works is meticulously constructed from a truly omnivorous array of smudged samples, found sounds and other sonic detritus, collected by Richter from across the history of recorded music and altered into beguiling new shapes.

CIA Debutante.
Dust is the second vinyl outing from Nathan Roche & Paul Bonnet (aka, CIA Debutante) for Siltbreeze (aka, their label) following the estimable huff of The Landlord (aka, the 1st lp) after countless cassette releases (aka, too much backstory). Dust finds our heroes at the top of their game; the captivating je ne sais quoi formed around vocal recitation & percolating electronics has been honed to perfection, moving them beyond whatever references were made in the past into a catagorization where they are known as ‘Themselves’. If I were compare it to anything it would be that giant Zardoz head, flying around the French countryside, drolly enunciating-in English no less!-dystopian affirmations, predicting the future, rewriting the past, ordering off menu, all the while spitting forth a rain of Aperol, Pernod & Gitanes to their brutish followers below.

Matthew Sullivan.
In this album Matthew Sullivan uses field recordings, distorted piano tunes, voices etc. The recordings here are from 2018-2020, made in various places in USA. Another keeper in Sullivan’s ever-consistent catalogue. This cassette includes 2 compositions, 15 min per side.

Ben Vida.
Ben Vida follows an acclaimed run of solo recordings on the Shelter Press label and collaborations with Marina Rosenfeld with this delectably low-key set of undulating rhythmic experiments. Like Jan Jelinek or Andrew Pekler buried in an underwater cave, it’s deceptively simple music that rewards the deepest listeners.

Cam Deas.
London based artist Cam Deas presents a revelatory new stage in his practice. Following in the footsteps of the likes of David Tudor’s Rainforest works, Cam studies in the liminal space between the natural world & synthesis, conjuring deep, meditative and beguiling sound worlds. Some of his most singular and focussed work to date, following on from a series of impressive releases on Death of Rave and Alter.

Haptic.
Electro-acoustic trio from Chicago. Creating densely textured works that can range from stark minimalism to violent, carefully directed chaos, Haptic combines a rigorous attention to sonic detail with restless experimentalism. Formed in Chicago in the spring of 2005 by Steven Hess (Cleared, RLYR, Innode, ex-Dropp Ensemble), Joseph Clayton Mills (Maar, Partial, Jonathan Chen, ex-Dropp Ensemble), and Adam Sonderberg (ex-Dropp Ensemble), Haptic was initially conceived as a vehicle for live collaboration. To that end, the group has frequently incorporated a different, rotating fourth member, deliberately chosen to send the music in unpredictable and challenging directions. Such collaborators have ranged from Tony Buck (The Necks) and Olivia Block to Mark Solotroff (BLOODYMINDED).
