As 16 year old alt Beethoven played in the Bonn premiere of Haydn’s religious megahit the Seven Last Words. A powerful work which Haydn used a lot. Today in ‘Difficult student’, the series of programmes about Haydn and Beethoven, the oratorio version. Also compositions by the very young Beethoven, already a fulltime musician at 13.
