René Lussier Quintette. This Canadian quintet has a highly unusual line-up: the leader is a guitarist but also plays a daxophone, this is a newly invented string instrument. In addition to that there is an accordion player, a tuba/euphonium player and two percussionists. Adventurous music from a far away land with a flourishing music practice. Recorded in February 2018.
René Lussier – electric guitar, daxophone
Luzio Altobelli – accordion
Julie Houle – tuba, euphonium
Robbie Kuster – percussion
Marton Maderspach – percussion
