In Concertzender Live on Thursday 11th May two recordings of Gregorian chant: Iégor Reznikoff in the Franciscan Kapel in Oirschot and the Begijnhofschola Breda with Gregorian texts from the Song of Songs.
On 11th May in Concertzender Live music which, even by the standards of Early Music is very old. You can hear Gregorian chant in two different performances.
In the first hour a concert by the French singer and teacher of Gregorian chant Iégor Reznikoff which he gave on 19th March in the chapel of the Franciscans in Oirschot. Reznikoff has specialized in ancient Christian song for more than 50 years.
The second hour features the concert by the Begijnhofschola Breda. The schola sings Gregorian chant in Cathedral services in Breda. A few times a year they perform in another location.
On 9th August 2013 that was the Pieterskerk in Utrecht. During the concert Gregorian chant from texts from the Song of Songs, interspersed with readings from the late Middle Ages mystic Hadewych of Antwerp.
