Utrecht is full of music, that is one of the reasons that the Concertzender moved to the city. In December we will be broadcasting some of the many recordings that we have made in Utrecht during the last year.

Utrecht Music programmes in December
‘Historical foundations of TivoliVredenburg’
A series by Mathieu Heinrichs, the ex-director of the Vredenburg, about the history of Utrecht Muziekstad.
The programme on 4 December looked at the breakthrough of Canto Ostinato.
The last programme is on Thursday 18 December 20.00-21.00: Episode 10: Utrecht and Early Music.
TivoliVredenburg
The Concertzender makes extensive use of the concert programme in TivoliVredenburg. The recordings made by the Concertzender included the first official concert by the young Dudok Quartet on 21 April 2014 in the new small hall (Hertz). The first official concert in the restored main hall was also recorded by the Concertzender. The concert by the Dudok quartet is broadcast on Wednesday 23 December at 19:00.
The Mall of Sound
The Mall of Sound festival took place in the shopping mall Hoog Catharijne on 28 June 2014. This second edition of the festival was much larger than the first edition and was organised in cooperation with Gaudeamus Muziekweek and Rasa. There were 10 stages located throught the mall and there was a lot of adventurous music to be heard. The Concertzender made recordings of a number of the performances. In Concertzender Live! on 22 and 24 December you can listen to the Nederlands Kamerkoor, Kamerkoor Venus, Big Hare, Maarten Vos & Kieran Klaassen, Koen Kaptijn & Bart de Vrees, Spinvis and Knalpot.
