Profane music from all parts of Europe. The musical heritage of the 17th century is well preserved in Venice by the Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca and in Spain by La Real Cámara. While occasionally intense, this contrasts with the more subdued atmosphere of the Parisian salons of the Marquise de Rambouillet, brought to life by soprano Deborah Cachet and lutenist Sophie Vanden Eynde.
