The last CD of l’Arpeggiata: Los Pájaros Perdidos.

Baroque group l’Arpeggiata, led by Christina Pluhar, has gained international fame since they began in 2000, with their playful interpretation of South European baroque music. L’Arpeggiata’s performances want to be authentic but without a puritan determination to be right.

With their newly released CD Los Pájaros Perdidos, l’Arpeggiata travels down the path of traditional music once again. According to Christina Pluhar, both the instrumentation and the melodic form of South American folk music are an example of lively contemporary baroque, which she illustrates in the splendid booklet that comes with the CD.
But without all that, it is still possible to just enjoy this classical approach of known and lesser known South American melodies.
